Community Spotlight: Regenerate Thrift Shop
At the heart of every great thrift shop is a mission—and Regenerate Thrift Shop is a powerful example of how secondhand shopping can create lasting impact.
A Mission That Matters
Regenerate Thrift Shop exists to serve its community by offering quality merchandise at reasonable prices, while supporting a cause that reaches far beyond its walls. Every purchase helps fund scholarships and student support for Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary students around the world, making education more accessible to those preparing for ministry and service.
Thrifting With Purpose
There is an ongoing need for a sustainable flow of income to support the Seminary’s scholarship and student aid programs. Regenerate was created as a hands-on, community-driven solution—bringing together people, skills, and resources to make a meaningful difference.
The shop thrives because of the many individuals who contribute their time, talents, and expertise. From law, accounting, and management to carpentry, real estate, fashion, marketing, and nonprofit operations, Regenerate is a true collaborative effort. Donations of merchandise and volunteer hours play an equally vital role in keeping the mission moving forward.
Building Community Through Opportunity
Beyond funding education, Regenerate Thrift Shop is a place of growth and learning. Volunteers gain valuable business, people, and language skills, and opportunities are extended to a diverse group of participants—including special-needs students from nearby schools and seminary student family members from around the globe.
The beauty of Regenerate lies in its people. Surrounded by a dedicated network of churches and community members, the shop stands as a testament to what’s possible when generosity, creativity, and purpose come together.
Why I Love Visiting
As a vintage reseller, I’m always inspired by spaces that honor sustainability while giving back. Regenerate Thrift Shop is more than a place to find great pieces—it’s a reminder that thrifting can be a force for good.
